Sore gum/infection?

i had an upper right canine tooth extracted about 10 weeks ago.,it had been getting root treatment, but it was decided to extract it...the gum hurts like hell and is very tender....i feel like there is infection running up my face and into my head,i also have rining in my ears.....do you think it could be infected?.......

can anyone please help as it is driving me insane!

Sore gum/infection?
Yes sounds like a infection alright. I would suggest calling your dentist right away. Sometimes after a tooth has been extracted It can leave bone fragment. If It becomes infected It can be fatal.
Reply:It could be infection or possibly nerve damage/impingement. Either way, see the dentist before it gets worse.
Reply:Untill you call the dentist rinse with warm water and salt.
Reply:go back to that dentist ASAP....sounds horribly infected to me...if you can't get into the dentist ASAP go to an ER, i am serious, go to an emergency room...you should NOT have those problems 10 weeks later....

go now, please!!!!!
Reply:that must be very severe! try talking to your dentist and he might give you some antibiotics and some pain relief
Reply:sounds like a yes to me. call your dentist ( or whoever pulled it) A.S.A.P.
Reply:try amosan,on the shelf of drud stores.
Reply:Take some Tylenol or some sort of pain reliever. Distract yourself until it's bearable. Then try to put it into perpsective a little better. Is the potentially infected area hot? Is it red or inflamed looking?
Reply:take aleve, rinse your mouth in peroxide and then in listerine, eat on the other side of your mouth, and use ice packs as well. you probably have a dry socket which really really sux, but it will heal.
Reply:go back to the dentist
Reply:When I had that trouble ,I rinsed with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water (about 1 to 2 ratio) held it in my mouth 3 times a day for a minute(not pleasant) then spit it out and rinsed with warm water,it helped.
Reply:could be a dry socket. call the doc- he can fix it pronto.
Reply:Yes, it sounds infected or like a dry socket which is very painful. Call up DDS as an emergency. In meantime, take 2 Advil or Aleve for inflammation. Put cold or hot compress(whichever feels better) on side of face where it hurts. Go to DDS tomorrow AM. Can also gargle with warm salt water or dissolve aspirin in warm water %26amp; gargle.

Hope you feel better real soon.
