Creative ideas for baby food?

My daughter really only likes orange veggies. I can sometimes trick her into eating the green ones...or SOMETIMES she'll eat fruit, but really she only likes orange vegetables. I want her to have a balanced diet, though.

So I'm curious what you guys feed your babies. Ruby will be 10 months old in a week. She has her two bottom teeth and her two top canine teeth. She's getting a LITTLE better at gumming, but she spits out anything that has a lot of chunks.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!

Your daughter definately likes the taste of orange vegetables, so the best thing to do is to mix in other vegetables into her orange ones. For example, you make a carrot and potato puree, or a pumpkin and potato puree. Add in other vegetables and also rice cereal to the purees to slightly change the taste. Now she is comfortably eating thick purees try making them with lots of lumps. As she gets more teeth she will get better at eating chunks of food. She may also like finger foods such as rusks. I started my daughter who is now 13 months on solids (rice cereal at 5 months) I gradually added different purees of vegetables to her diet. She loves all vegetables now and eats mostly what I prepare for the family. I made my purees up in batches by freezing them in ice cube trays. When it was time to eat I chose one or two frozen cubes and warmed them up in the microwave. Good luck, keep persisting with a variety of different foods, eventually she will change especially as she grows older and sees other family members and other children eating different foods.
Reply:Oranges, Bananas, Corn, Mangos, Canteloupe, and Peaches.
Reply:Babies are very temperamental and they like to test us I think! Maybe try blending the veggies together, or mix foods she doesn't like with foods she does. Gradually make the food chunkier and thicker each time. Hope this helps!
Reply:You can put any people food in a blender and mush it up and feed it to her. This will mix everything together so she wont know what she is eating.
