Is it normal for my sausage dog?

to have 4 canine teeth on the top row and two at the bottom

Is it normal for my sausage dog?
Yes, this is very common in the breed. My father in law has a miniature and she had the exact same thing. We did a little bit of research and talked to our vet about it. They will not always come out on their own. Talk to your vet. If necessary, they can quickly and with a minimum of pain to the dog remove the extra teeth.
Reply:I am not sure, that is something I would ask your dog's vet the next time him/her is going for a check up or visit.
Reply:it is possible! But usually they will lose one set of them. This is common in younger dogs.
Reply:a dog hs a total of 42 teeth made up of-

8 premolars in the lower jaw n 6 in the upper

6 molars inthe upper jaw n 6 in the lower

6 incisors in the lower jaw n 6 in the upper

2 canine teeth on the lower jaw n 2 on the upper

occasionally, double dentition is seen wen milk teeth r nt shed.this may necessitate vet intervention to remove the prob. milk teeth so that they do not interfere wid 2ndary or permanent tooth growth n action, which cud ultimately reflect upon effecient digestion n lead to health problems.

gud luck

Reply:Whats a sausage dog?? Maybe a Dachshund. You must not have researched the breed before you got it. Hopefully you didn't spend all your money on buying the dog so NOW you don't have money to have veterinary care for it. They are baby teeth that need to be removed.
