Will a pallet/palatal expander...?

My top two canine teeth have not grown all the way down. The orthodontist says this is because of little space. Do any of you think that a pallet/palatal expander will make room for them to come out while it is widening my jaw?

Will a pallet/palatal expander...?
YES THE EXPANDER DOES WORK AND CAN CREATE UP TO 4 MM OF SPACE IN TEH ARCH WITH STABILITY.
Reply:Absolutely! That's what they are made for. A palatal expander is cemented into place on your "upper arch" or palate, it gets "cranked" or tightened every few days which pushes on the arch forcing it wider. You will feel some pressure on the days it's tightened, but nothing serious. It will take a little time but it will widen the arch, thus making room for the canines to come in. Hope I've been of some help and good luck!

You may notice them erupting while you are wearing the expander, as long as the orthodontist didn't tell you he would need to guide them in to position.
