Cant stop thinking about how braces screwed up my life?

not to sound conceited but b4 everybody thought i was super super pretty and i had the little canine teeth but then i didnt like it so got braces thinking i would look better. and now i dont look pretty like b4, and i cant stop thinking everyday about how i wish i could go back, but i cant. ppl actually think my old teeth looked cuter on me. and my skin got worse too. so now everyday i think about it and wish i cud go back to being super pretty again, but i feel like i can never look like how i used to. how do i cope with this?? i cant seem to get it out of my mind and i obsess over it so much..i get realy disappointed and regretful. sounds lame i know, but thats y im asking for ur help?

How old are you? I doubt very much that the braces affected your skin. We all change as we get older, our noses grow, our features change. Just be glad you're not ugly!
Reply:so whats the penalty here ? Straighter teeth in a year ? eat more fresh fruits and veggies to keep skin in good shape, you'll have GREAT TEETH in a year, we have a guy at work with elongated "K-9" teeth, his nick name is "The Tooth Fairy", Ya want THAT ? Stay the course !
Reply:Do u still have the brace's on ? I am not sure how to answer by not knowing..... So, I will answer as if the braces are still on. I knew a lot of people who had braces and they said life was terrible the whole time, being called " metal mouth " teased a lot. But, when it was time to finally get them off, WOW, what an improvement! They were quite pleased, especially my step daughter who had bucked out teeth pretty bad, she was very shy and didn't have many friends. Now, she is just absolutely beautiful her self esteem had risen unbelievably she has a ton of friends and the guys don't stop calling her. I don't see how little canine teeth would make such a difference but not quite sure of the sistuation. I 'm sure u are just as pretty as u were. Don't listen to anyone tht is telling u, u looked better b 4 cus they just might be jealous cus they know u look even better but won't admit it.
Reply:Well it seems that you always pictured yourself as one way then wanted to change. Now you are probably about the same and you just think you arent as pretty and want something to blame it on. Your skin probably has nothing to do with it. Your body changes whether or not you have braces.
