Is it right to still take braces even my mom dont want me to have braces?

my teeth are pretty crowded, upper teeth are huge and slanted, canine is sticking out and the one beside pushed backward





my mom constantly refusing me to have braces because i knwo she just doesnt want to pay it. she went as far saying my teeth are nice looking, and one or two teeth sticking out are normal.


i decide i had enough and just gonna pay on my own but i know she still gonna be piss off.





is it right to still take it, i really want straight nice teeth so FINALLY i can find myself a girlfriend with confidence

How old are you? Also maybe money is tight? Not to mention braces are really expensive. I am getting braces at 21 and I found a man with overcrowded teeth hahaha. I say wait because it probably is money related and when your wisdom teeth come in sometimes it will mess with your teeth so they will get pushed around again

Reply:why wouldn't your mom want you to have nice teeth? that's just self-centered and selfish on her part to not want to do everything she can for her child and calls her parenting skills into question.





if you've got the money and can do it, then do what you want to do.





she'll get over it....one or two teeth sticking out isn't normal...it's called buck teeth.....





at the end of the day, your opinion is the only one that matters with regard to your life, how you live it and what you do with it....her opinion doesn't really mean a whole lot with regard to how you live your life.

e.g. over her in australia they coast around 2000 to 3000 dollars for the wire ones





I also know what it is like having rotton teeth


( they seem to be going into the right order know but they where all crooked before)

braces are painful


they give you constant cuts in ur mouth and some


times the wire breaks and thats even worse





i know


all but one of my 7 friends has they and they all have complaints


( not to mention the agony of the agustment! IT HURTS!!!)

Reply:If you can afford to pay for it, do it. Crooked teeth can cause problems down the road. It's usually easier to straighten teeth in a younger person's mouth too.





If you're self conscious about your teeth it will affect your self esteem. It's probably worth it to you to have them fixed.
Reply:Absolutely, unless there's something else you should be doing with that money.





Bettering yourself is always a good investment. It doesn't seem reasonable that with your own money your mother won't allow you to do a good thing for yourself.





Self-esteem is important, but straight pearly whites won't cure all self esteem problems.
Reply:I have the same case as yours. My upper and lower teeth are really bad, and that lowers my confidence at times. I'm getting braces this summer although my parents strongly DON'T want me to. I personally think that it's my choice whether I get braces or not since I'm paying for the braces myself. Braces could only do good to you, right? I would go for it. I think your mom will eventually understand how much of a confidence son you will become.
Reply:if you need the braces then yes you should get them. I know they are expensive. I have them and mine are around $6000. Which I think is really stupid to have them cost that much. But really ridiculous to have braces costing that much when people that really need them sometimes don't have the money to pay for them.
