Ok i got my braces about a week and a half ago. Now my right front tooth and my right canine on top and really hurt! I know its not a cavity bc i bursh really well and do everything I am supposed too. But I take Advil and it doesnt help! None of my other teeth hurt, What should I do?
Pain With Braces?
It might hurt because those are the teeth that need to move and the braces are moving them. The reason it is just now hurting is b/c it takes some time before your teeth start moving after you get your braces. Same thing happened to me but with my two front teeth since their was a big gap in between them and it closed them. Hope it stops hurting for you.

Reply:Just remember that it's ALL normal. Braces are supposed to hurt. Taking medicine works for me, but if THAT doesn't for you, you could try rubbing Oralgell on your gums before you go to bed. It numbs it up and by the time the numbing goes away, you'll be asleep! Or you could try my personal favorite- ICECREAM!!!! Remember the pain only lasts for a few days. Soon, you'll forget you have them! :-)
