Swollen Gums?

I woke up this morning and I noticed my gums were bothering me and felt very puffy as if something hit me. I looked inside my mouth and I noticed that between the tooth that is right next to the canine and the tooth next to that have swelling between them. Its a very wierd feeling...

has this happened to anyone and does anyone know what it could be? Its not wisdom teeth, I dont think cause its not that far back. Its between the two teeth next to my canine.

Swollen Gums?
You could have something rather large stuck between your teeth...that's usually the problem behind any swelling or pain I have in my gums. Get some floss and go to work.
Reply:Go to a dentist. You may have some food trapped under the gumline.
Reply:yes same happened to me very painful. I had an infection due to lack of zinc. I was given antibiotics mouthwash and was told to syringe air between gum and teeth. A sign you are doing to much and need to look after yourself better
Reply:floss like crazy. it's tooth decay or food stuck back there. I had that problem before i got braces.
Reply:when this happens to me it is usually a vitamin deficiency due to about a week of bad eating. I start with high dosage vitamin c and b6 and that sorts it out. good luck i hope that helps.
Reply:Yes, especially when I eat meat my gums get all puffy and irritated. The swelling for me usually goes down withing a couple of days.
Reply:I really don't think there's any "food stuck" between your teeth or anything like that...it sounds more like an abscessed tooth.

What is an abscessed tooth?

An abscessed tooth is a tooth that has a pocket of pus in the tissues next to it. Pus forms when the body tries to fight a bacterial infection. If the pus cannot drain, it forms an abscess.

Only a trip to the dentist will sort it out.
Reply:YOU MIGHT HAVE SENSITIVE GUMS,TRY CHEWING SOMETHING SOFT FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS,AND GARGLE WITH WARM SALT WATER,THAT WILL HELP.
Reply:just go and see a dentist
